Note: To complete the procedures in this document, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. To determine your role, follow the directions in Participant roles. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and roles: Overview.
You can set up a worksite to display news by entering a URL for an RSS news feed (a specially formatted list of news articles). You can add more than one News tool at any time.
To add a news feed:
Site Info, and then click
News, and then click
If the worksite already contains news feeds or web content, you'll see
information about existing news and web items here. If there are no
blank fields at the bottom of the list to fill in, from the
News Tools? drop-down menu, select how many news tools you'd like
Continue. You will see a summary of your changes to the site's tools.
You should now see a link in the menubar to the news feed with the title you provided.
To edit a news feed, in the menubar, click the title of the feed
you wish to edit. Click
Options, and then change the "Title"
and "URL" fields as you wish. Click
Update Options to finish.
To delete a news feed, in the menubar, click
Site Info, and then
Edit Tools. From the list of tools, uncheck the news feed you
wish to delete, and then click
Finish to delete your feed.
